AN e-TWINNING PROJECT
ENGLISH IS THE NEW THERAPY
GAZİEMİR ATATÜRK SECONDARY SCHOOL
HABİBE BAL
I've been teaching English for 19 years. I try to understand my students well enough, and should build a strong relationship with them. I always encourage my students, and inspire them to do the right thing in life. I try to make them feel real comfortable and confident in the classrooms as possible and also try to make them to be a part of something. In order for students to reach their dreams in life they need to have confidence. So we should include our students into lots of activities. They can learn best by doing, by seeing and by taking part of them.

OUR FINAL PRODUCT
COVID - 19 SURVIVORS
STORY COMPLETION
COVID - 19 SURVIVORS
In our project the activities were mostly carried out by the pupils aged 12 to 14. We wanted to implement collaborative activities with partner school teams as much as possible. We created a cyberbullying awareness booklet by using “Storyjumper”, made a video and a "padlet" board on e-Safety, introduced one of the tourist attraction and created a map by using “Genial.ly”, made some research about some scientists and created posters by matched school teams, wrote an acrostic poem for “eTwinning Day” celebrations, created a video using our slogans related the environmental issues, talked about "How to deal with stress?" in an online meeting, and did yoga. All these activities were implemented collaboratively and creatively. The students started some discussions and organized online meetings. They improved their communication skills. We organized some competitions via “quizizz” and “Kahoot” applications.
